Went out Sunday, scouted an area the rangers told me they had seen hogs,
appears they are coming up a draw, crossing the road, continuing up a hill to hardwoods, rooting hell out of everything, then dropping down the other side of the hill into a grown up creek bottom. I have off next week, when do I need to be out there, when do they feed, do I need to wait up on the hill in the hardwoods or try to get into the creek bottom? I'll be using a scoped 30-30 with a .44 mag revolver as backup. Thanks

Is it legal to hunt them in Alabama at night with artificial light? About 99% of the hogs I have killed have been killed at about 10pm at night :). If not, maybe you can set up downwind of that rooting spot in the hardwoods and shoot them when they are busy rootin' up the ground. Sounds like they spend alot of time rootin'.

Just my .02,
