Buy a Kimber or Springfield and it's warrantied for life, just don't cut/grind the frame. If you do have problems you just send it back by UPS or FedEx over night.

Is the Kimber warranty an unspoken one, their website and my gun information clearly says 1 year warranty?

Anyone have experience with this lifetime warranty?

I bought a Para Ordnance LTC about a year and half ago. Love it. It is the lightweight version. It is my favorite 1911 by far. 45 acp of course. Give it a thought.
