i'm having First World Problems, hahaha.
i recently found gainful employment, finally, after a string of temporary jobs and a few months of absolutely no work. it pays well, and things are starting to look up. so of course, the first thing i want to do is buy another gun, LOL.
my brother-in-law has an extensive collection of 1911s, of different makes, but wants to thin the herd, in order to start a dedicated Colt collection. his plan is to sell his non-Colts, and replace them with equivalent Colts.
right now, he's considering two of them, a Dan Wesson Razorback, in 10mm, and a Springfield Match pistol with a compensator, in .45ACP. both of them run flawlessly, both are insanely accurate, and both have been meticulously cared for. the only drawback to either are:
1. the Razorback is a 10mm. the ammo is a bit more expensive, and has a harder recoil, though i'm not recoil sensitive too much.
2. the Springfield will require a new barrel for me to use it as a carry piece.
he's willing to sell them to me for much less than $800 each. i've handled both of them, and honestly can't decide which one i like better. here's a pic of the Razorback:
and here's a pic of his other guns. the Springfield is the one on the very bottom, with the comp.
so, what do you guys think? i have a while before i have to make up my mind. i also have a Ruger SP101 and a S&W M642 on my to-do list, LOL.
