if you shoot a glock then a ruger mkII is pretty close to the grip angle of the glock.

what i would do is get a .22 conversion for wahtever gun you use for defense/ ccw and go that route. i plan to get one for my xd.

I too enjoy shooting .22 at the range. Sometimes, I spend more than half of my time at the range with my Buckmark. I agree that there are many aspect of markmanship that simply spending time at the range - with any caliber - will improve. That is why I listed several categories, which are of course not all there is.

But shooting a lot of .22s does not automatically gaurantee one can then pick up a .357 Magnum or 10mm and shoot accurately.

After reading this thread I went and picked up an S&W 22A-1. I looked at the mark III and the buckmark but I chose the S&W 22A-1 because it felt more like a real gun. Heavy and the slide is a little more like that of a glock or something. I went out and put 500 rounds through it today. Great for training, yelling STOP! bam bam, moving around, doing all the stuff I learned watching the Thunder Ranch videos over and over, plenty of jams to clear but that is just part of training. Tap, rack fire, Tap, Rack, no fire, drop the mag rack rack rack slam the mag in rack and fire. Never let the muzzle leave the direction of the threat.

I love this S&W I'm not going to get all opinionated about the brand or anything I just love that I just went out and trained for two hours, and 500 rounds and it only cost me $15 and a little bit of gas! I love it!
