I am writing my reloading list for 9mm and would like some imput on bullets. I am going through Montana Gold Bullet Co. for the order. I have shot many thousands of them through my 1911's and 10mm Glock with fantastic results. 9mm handloading is new to me but I intend to load them on the warm side (90% of maximum). I will start 10% below maximum and work my way up. The guns that I am reloading for are a G34, G19 and a HK P2000. They all have polygonal rifiling so lead bullets are out of the question.

Montana Gold Bullet Company offers 8 different bullets for 9mm. Keeping in mind I am loading these warmer what would you choose? Here is a link to the company's website. https://secure3.mooseweb.com/montanagoldbullet.com/pricelist.tpl

They offer a bullet I have never heard of. They call it "international full pro". What does that mean?

Thanks for the help, Sammy

I shoot the 115 JHP in my CZ 75 because it seems to like the round and I do not use the gun for SD purposes.

Other. Where is whatever is cheapest? I shoot 124 grain plated or jacketed, and 115 grain plated or jacketed whichever is cheaper.

i would go with 124gr or 147gr cuz ya never know if ya need to shoot thru a car door or car window of a person trying to run you over...115 gr doesnt penetrate auto glass as good as the 124gr or 147 gr JHP. you need a round for all trades..i tried the +p ammo its ok but it doesnt go deep enough in penetration thru doors and glass, why do you think the .40 and .45 does better? heavier bullet..

I can't vote for any of your choices because my favorite is 115 grain lead SWC.

Cheap, accurate and easy to see those nice round holes! :D

But then again, I'm not shooting a Glock. I use them in my Browning GP and my Sig.

sammy.....wouldn't it help if you mentioned what was the intended purpose for the load? Other than "warm", you didn't give much to go on. Bullet weight and type spans a pretty wide spectrum and ending up with the wrong bullet for the job is easy to do.

Odd your poll does not have 115 or 124g lead cast bullets. By far my pistols shoot lead cast bullets the best in either Round Nose or Flat Nose configurations. I suggest you add those to your poll. I have been able to achieve quite impressive 10 shot group sizes from a Ransom Rest with the above two bullets in a S&W 952 Long Slide as well as a Beretta Steel-1.

Cheers

He said this about all his two Glocks and one HK.
They all have polygonal rifiling so lead bullets are out of the question.

I would probably go with one or the other 124 for the best likelyhood of good feed & function in all of them. That is the 9mm bullet weight designers design guns around now days.

I know, it's difficult to read a thread before posting but I would highly reccomend it. Otherwise what are you really replying to in the first place.

Can't go wrong with the good old 124gr FMJ or JHP, depending on what the purpose is of the round. But then again I love shooting my 115grainers as well, accuracy seems to always be exceptional in my 9's with 'em.

Sorry guys I simply read the poll question and not all the replies below....
Mia Culpa Mia Culpa....

124 gr jacketed: type of bullet tailored to your use.

Works well for Gun games, SD & target with the right loads. IMO shoots softer than 115 and knocks down steel better.

I've been using MG 124CMJ because they were available.

PD 124FMJ were cheaper and also worked well. MG/PD :The exact same load works

I plan to try some plated 124s when I stop being lazy.
