I have been looking at ammo (more specificly at ammoman.com) at 9mm ammo. Federal American Eagle and Fiocchi, the AE is 124FMJ and the Fio is 115FMJ. Which of these brands generaly yeilds the better ressults? They are the same price per 500 rounds the Fio is ten cheaper per the 1000. Never used either, federal is generally pretty good but I've never used the American Eagle line of it so don't know if its good stuff, never used the Fiocchi either and wanted to get some opinions from others who may have used them.

used the American Eagle and never had a problem. Use it in 223 , 45 and 9mm
Always worked good for me at a good price. I mostly pick it up at the gun shows

Was just wondering. Never handled the stuff but the picture, I dont know how to say it but the brass on the AE just kinda looked cheap, esspecialy if I start reloading I'd gladly spend a few extra bucks if it ment good brass to get many loadings out of.

well I cant help there. I do not reload . I just never had a prob with any as far shooting at the outdoor or indoor range . One guy always ask to have the brass and I give it to him , so I thinks he reloads
sorry not much help!!!!

Both brands are good. But between the two I think AE has a slight edge.

Both have been reliable, Fiocci is slightly dirtier IME.

My thoughts exactly. I have shot both with the same results. Good stuff for the money though.

Some manufacturers don't polish the brass of their cartridges. That keeps the cost down, and no one has been able to determine if polishing makes a functional difference.
