Within the next couple of weeks, I'm going to buy either a CZ-75B SA or a CZ-85 Combat for IDPA, Pin, and Silouette shooting. I prefer a gun with single action but I also like the adjustable sights on the Combat. I also understand that I can put adjustable sights on the SA.

So... Which should I get? What are the pros and cons of each?

Don't get mad at me, but have you looked at the EAA Witness Match. I have a CZ75B and recently bought the EAA - much better pistol in terms of fit and feel of the trigger.

Then of course if you bought gold back when it was $250/ounce a couple of years ago, you would have enough to go for the Sphinx, which is a high dollar CZ75.

Call CZ custom in Mesa. They have a special edition CZ75 SPO1 in the Shadow edition. It has a factory trigger job, hammer and oversized double ambi safety and oh, combat rear front fiber optic sight $750. A pleasure to shoot.

I didn't like the SP01 because I don't like a nose heavy pistol. I purchased a CZ75 SA and had a CZ85 trigger installed with a competition hammer. This gives you the full profile slide and the beavertail tang. Lighter in the front end than the SP01 and now SA/DA for USPSA production and IDPA SSP. If you leave the CZ75 SA stock you will be shooting in ESP division for IDPA.
