I have a new Blackhawk in .44 Special and I was wondering which diameter bullet (.429 or .430) should I use for reloading. I contacted Ruger to ask them but they refused to provide me with an answer.

Thanks for any advice!

Reloads will VOID Mfg. Warrnt...

Ruger (and most all other Mfgs.) state in their owners manual that use of reloaded ammo will void your warrnt.

With that out of the way..Mostly use .429" Jackeded/Plated, and .430" Plated/Lead.

Have fun...Bill.:)

Imagine that.
Most likely the .430's

.430 in my ruger 44 is the special sauce.

Given that ruger doesn't have a warranty per se, its kinda a moot point.

Ruger has a promise to examine. Thats not a warranty, and they specifically say so.
