Which friction stud for my Win 94?

I replaced the link on my 94 and need a new friction stud. I've found a hollow version and non-hollow. My rifle is in the 3 million serial number range. Which stud should I get, or does it matter?

Is the old friction stud & spring missing in action??

If it is there, the best thing to do would be to take it out and look at it.

The retaining pin absolutely refuses to come out.
I went ahead and ordered the non hollow version, spring, and pin.
Hopefully they will work.

You just ain't sweet talked it right yet.

Get a tapered nail set punch that won't bend, and a steel block with a hole in it to support it.

If they put it in, it will come out.
