Mosin-Nagant with an extended eye relief scope

or

Ishapore Enfield with a B-Square scope mount

or

Mauser with ATI wrap-around scope mount or ATI Glass-filled nylon stock?

I want a good long-range rifle, but only want to use a rifle that I already own. Which would you guys pick? Why? Does anyone have any experience with these?

Scope the most accurate one, otherwise it'll just be a waste of time. Sorry I don't have any specific info on the mounts listed.

Ditto what R T said.....

I would go with the Mosin Nagant, which model? The B square mounts are not known for great reliability. I have a Darrell scout mount on my 91/30 and it will do one inch at 100 meters. I have to admit the rifle is a Finn with a Tikka barrel......I don't have much faith in the plastic stocks on milsurp rifles.......chris3

What about the ATI Mauser scope mounts? It says that you have to shave wood away from the stock. Is that really neccesary?

I don't know bout the ATI but with the B-square I shaved the mount rather than cut into the precious wood.

What mauser are we talking about

Has anyone scoped a 2A1 Ishapore?

Not exactly but I did use one of these on my No4MkI sporter

Of the ther rifles I'ed scope the 2A1

The mauser mount will give you a nosebleed trying to see through it, WAY TOO HIGH

Scout scopes are OK but in my experiance they just aren't quite up to the task for precision shooting.

The reason I suggest the Ishy is all you need is a scope and mount and you're set. No bolt handle bending , No Aftermarket safties required

Is this Ishapore mount to high? Will it badly affect Accuray? Any other ones out there?
