Which has the better resale value, MP 9 full size or compact

I recently completed a S&W armorer's course. I have the opportunity to buy either MP 9mm or .40 cal full size or compact at a reduced cost. I really want a .22lr for practise. Would the compact or full size have the better resale or trade value? Which caliber is 9mm vs .40 cal preferred ? Thanks

Definitely 9mm, compact vs. full size probably doesn't matter much.
