None of the above. I think all of the news networks are about ratings and making money and all of them put their own political spin on the news to attract the largest audience. Ratings = Revenue.
I get the news from PBS TV (Public Broadcasting System). Granted, some of their programs are left-leaning but the "News Hour" seems balanced. I'm not interested in listening to propaganda from either the "Left" or the "Right" or any other viewpoint for that matter...I just want the truth.
PBS isn't too bad and the BBC is a step down but I really like the Christian Science Monitor when I have a chance to read it (which isn't very often). No real political agenda other than telling people about how the world really is out there (and it ain't pretty).
Mark(psycho)Phipps( HAHAHA! )
P.S. How anyone can see FOX as an impartial news source completely flabbergasts me.
I trust all the major news networks, and the mainstream media in general to present the facts with the utmost of professionalism and objectivity...oh wait...I vote none.
"lol.. I cant believe Fox is winning.. but then again I guess it's to be expected considering.
I voted BBC."
"considering.... WHAT "? that you're trolling on a pro 2nd amendment forum ?
and....BBC ??? those clowns are widely known as the most blatantly and irrationally anti-american media outlet this side of al-jazeera.
and i can only hope and assume that "modotman's" claim that CNN is the "only un-biased news out there " is as tongue in cheek as "macpherson's" was .
Im trolling and I have more posts and an earlier reg date than you??
But yes, it is to be expected considering the forum that this poll is being conducted on. Perspective is an amazing thing. You probably see Fox as "Fair and Balanced" whereas I see them as a right-wing propaganda machine.
EDIT: And Fox News isnt a friend of the 2nd Amendmant either... did you see Fox and Friends the other day where the hosts were asking "Why does anyone need a AK-47?"
Speaking of al-jezeera...why aren't they in the poll??? The OP is discriminating!
JK
I voted other(none of the above). I don't watch any TV news. FOX would be the least leftist of the choices, and that scores points, but I don't think they are really any good though. TV news is nonsense.
I picked other...I get my news from the internet & newspapers.
I really hate the TV news..it's so sensationalistic.
All of the news networks have their progovernment agendas. Fox is so cheesy though...Is it just me or do they have a SOUTH PARKey edge?
None of them get any accolades, so it's a rhetorical question. I am more interested in integrity as the broader issue, which affects what they report and how. As long as ratings are high priority, I believe integrity is compromised and will be skeptical of all of it. The cold hard facts are one thing, but the spin, loaded questions to guests, and other commentary never gives a warm feeling.
IT's all sensationalism, they are in business to sell ads and that requires eyes glued to TVs, and that means that you have to shock and entertain. News is secondary to that.
Oh and none of them are fair either, they all have an agenda.
