O.K. I have two Garands and I need to pick one of them to shoot. One is a pretty much mint 1945 Springfield (RRAD) (Probably unfired since rearsenaled)but not all correct parts with a relieved op-rod. The other is an all correct 2-1944 Springfield (barell is 2-1944 also) with a non relieved op-rod but it is not in as good of shape as the first. So, if you had to pick one to shoot which one would you shoot?
One more quick qeustion-- I loaded 44 grains of AA2520 with a 175 grain FMJBT bullet at about 3.33" OAL. Does that sound like an acceptable load for the garand?
Thanks in advance,
Marty
