Little surprised Kucinich snuck in there.

Libertarian vs "Socialist"

Someone earlier wrote

"aren't libertarian and socialist diametrically opposed"
First saying that Democrat = socialist is a bit extreme.

A libertarian would probably agree with a mainstream conservative more on economic issues, and with a liberal "socialist" more on personal morality issues.

Libertarianism and facism would be diametrically opposed. Facism combines the worse elements of nationalism, government control over the economy, and government control over individual morality. Unlike a socialist system which calls for individual sacrifice for the "well being" of everyone (the masses), Facism calls for far more extreme restrictions on behavior for the sake of the well being of a construct "the nation". Basically the "well being" of this construct supercedes even the populace.

...and yes, I believe that Stalin and Mao were facists

I went back through the survey and answered the questions based on what has actually happened (subject to some interpretation of course, but I gave it my best shot) under Bush's watch rather than how I felt or what his stated positions are and interestingly enough, the top candidate was Clark...at 76%.

:what:

For clarification, I do support fair trade, universal health care, and a more even handed foreign policy in the Mideast. I also strongly supported a balanced budget.

However, Kucinich and Sharpton are clowns and I wouldn't vote for Edwards if he was running against Ted Kennedy.

So that leaves Dean as my choice.
