Looking into buyin a NIB centerfire revolver. I already have a Colt Single Action Frontier Scout so don't recommend a .22. The choices are.
1.Smith & Wesson Model 10, 4'' HB .38 Spl +P. I like this gun's rep. I'm a fan of "old reliable" things, things that have been around for a while. Porsche 911's, Henry lever-actions, Jeeps, things like that. There are a ton of aftermarket grips for tis gun, and I'd probably end up getting the Dymondwood ones Smith & Wesson sells, and maybe a T-Grip. I like fixed sights. They keep things simple. My father would probably also use this as an HD gun.
2. Model 67. It's pretty much the same as the Model 15, which is the adjustable sight version of the Model 10. All the thinngs mentioned above are good about this revolver, except that stainless doesn't look too hot and it's adjustable sighted. As I mentioned, I like fixed sights for their simplicity. Also the M67 is slightly more expensive.
3.Ruger GP100 4'' Stainless. With the versatility of a .357, I consider this the T-35 of the revolver world. It's built like a tank and not badly priced either. However, it's heavy, stainless, heavy trigger pull, and adjustable sighted.
My gun store has the GP100 in stock. I'd probably have to order the S&Ws off someplace like Impact Guns, and have them ship to my FFL. BTW, are there any other sites that sell NIB S&Ws?

I recommend the S&W Model 67. It has all the features of the Model 10, plus adjustable sights (what is it about adjustable sights that you don't like?) and stainless steel. The K-frame S&Ws are great guns. I'd consider the Model 66 an even better choice, but a 66 will run a lot more $$$$.

The Ruger's big advantage is being a .357 magnum. For most shooters that's advantage enough.

How about a GP100 in Blue? A used one would be a good value, and a 4" or 6" barrel would be great.

I also love my Model 10. The officer who owned it before me had a nice action job done on it, and it has the sweetest double action trigger of all my guns.

I tend to like the older guns

Any 4" K frame from S&W would be a great addition to your collection and a lot of fun to shoot too.

If you're looking for a Magnum then take a look at either the S&W 4" 7 round M619 or it's adjustable sight brother the M620.
