Which should I keep: 45 Colt or 44 mag?

I'm with "oldcelt" learn from the best (Elmer Keith) who handloaded for both but favored the .44 Special over the .45 LC.

But isn't that reflective of the fact that the .45LC's available when Elmer was working up his nuclear loads were SAA's? IOW, before "Ruger only" loads were a thing with .45LC?

Keep the 44 mag IMO.

I also reload for both 45 colt and the 44 mag keep the colt.
Redhawk in 45 colt you don't see them all of the time I had the same problem sold the 44 and never looked back.
