ok i have posted on here about my safariland 568 and a suncraft nylon holster. my safariland is leather. i have always open carried so holster type didn't matter much but now i have my ccdw permit and need help. i will be carrying a ruger police service six 4 inch barrel 357 magnum concealed.which would be better to do this with? i can't afford another gun at this time or a more expensive holster. if the nylon would be better a friend is gonna buy the safariland, if it will be better then i already have it. if my plans go as planned i'll be getting a smaller gun in 2-3 months and with it a better holster. so my question is with my current gun, which holster the safariland 568 or one of the nylon pancake holsters? if ya'll have an inexpensive holster that would work let me know, thanks for any help

For clarity, I don't think that is a leather holster. I believe it is some kind of plastic lined with a suede like material and wrapped with leather. I believe it is a popular model in some competition circles, though I don't believe it is much of a concealment holster. It appears to be a generic fit holster. One model fits several different guns. That is generally not a good sign for a well fit holster.
Having said that, I can't think of anybody (I'm sure there is somebody, I just cant think of them), that recommends nylon holsters. Usually they are pretty floppy and don't hold your pistol securely, though I have no experience with the maker you've listed.

While I have no personal experience with them, Simply Rugged is very popular, inexpensive option for those that carry revolvers.

Get a new holster. Its not worth endangering those around you for a cheap holster. Whats $50 to $100 for a holster vs the legal costs for being arrest for man with a gun or an unintended discharge for a dropped weapon from a flimsy holster.

To be honest with you, your choice of holster is just that, your choice. IF it were me looking at holsters for my daily carry piece, I'd be looking into a good, custom made leather holster for starters then check into Kydex holsters and then Kydex leather hybrids. Holsters that are made for your specific firearms, wearing location and needs. Why choose a one size fits all holster of questionable reliability when, for about 50 to 100 bucks more, you have a well fitting, you and the gun, reliable holster that you can wear for the next decade or two?
I know this through first hand knowledge. I purchased a cheap leather, one size fits most Yaqui style holster for my Bersa Thunder 9 UC. Wearing around the house the first day was good. Walking out of the house the very next day, not a dozen or steps from the door, my brand new holster literally exploded apart. Dropping my pistol, the holster, the screws, etc. clattering to the gravel below. Imagine if that happed in a crowded mall or movie theater.
