Hey folks I was hoping to gain some insight here. For years I have been toying with the idea of building or buying an AR-15 in all white instead of the standard black. Now I already have an AR in black, and an AK with the standard wood furniture, but is it possible to get a duracoating in white? I'm not even sure if there is a paint or coating similar to the one used for coloring "EBR's".
I'm aware of rifles painted in the desert camo, jungle camo, OD green and even the pink "Hello Kitty" motif. I ran the idea past a few gun buddies of mine and a few thought it might be a bad idea to try since apparently, and I have not verified this, that painting a firearm in a scheme to disguise it from being a firearm is illegal in CA. I wouldn't put it past this state for enacting something so stupid, but I'm not sure if it's true or not.
So what do you think? An AR-15 decked out in all white, while probably would be difficult to clean, would be pretty cool.
