It takes a couple seconds to register.Just another way to make our voices heard.Hearing alot of rumbling that obama may use executive powers to ram gun control down our throats. It's a petition to save our 2nd amend rights

Thanks fellas.Share with everyone you can.I've called and written my congressman too.

I signed both. I also think it is in vein. Remember, those who have power often get drunk with it and cannot see the bounds of it. However they will fight with resource available to retain that power. I am afraid this might be the case. That it will be left up to the SCOTUS to decide if it is overstepping of authority. I sure hope not...

Sad to say but the whitehouse.org petitions are a waste of time. POTUS is aware of the issue already and that is all the site was intended to accomplish.

Use congress.org to blanket your members of Congress and you state government with individual emails on specific points.

after the non reponse of many of the petitions that got more the requirement for response, i have to agree. a total waste of time. better to write, call or email your reps in congress.

The president simply doesn't care about gun owners or their opinions. His actions in the first few months of his second term have only served to prove what everybody that wasn't in denial already knew, which is that Obama is not gun friendly and never has been. Only the most oblivious gun owners doubted his alignment on the issue.

He's not undecided on the matter and he's not looking for input. If it were up to him the ridiculously strict "common sense" gun laws of Chicago would be a reality everywhere. Despite their ineffectiveness.

The only good side is that maybe now people won't forget in a few years that the left is not your friend if you believe in the second amendment. Unless you're one of the morons who holds the belief that the men who wrote the constitution wanted a militia for hunting and sporting purposes.

I posted a link to another petition I made earlier today if your already registered might as well sign mine too if you agree with it. I need to get to 150 before it goes public.

I'm sorry. I will not sign up and vote on any White House petition with this currant administration in the WH. Who knows, they may be making a list of us 2A supporters for future use.

Have to remember that when Obama was an Illinois State Senator he voted NO twice on a Bill that would allow a citizen to defend himself or another in the home with a firearm. And then he wouldn't vote to override a veto. The law passed without his help but it speak volumes about his sense of firearms and your right to defend yourself in your own home. But not letting his beliefs get in the way, he just signed an E.O. that allows him to have armed security for as long as he lives. But you, no dice.
