Who for custom revolver work?

I have a Smith .44 Mag with a 6" barrel that I want to have some work done on. I want to shorten the barrel, install night sights, and have an action job done.

What about just going to the Smith Performance Center?

Cut DA barrel and mount custom from sight with pinned blade $185.00

Who has the fairest price on shortening the barrel(6"-4" S&W) while still doing quality work(remount original sight)? The revolver in question also happens to be a S&W 29.

He is one of the best revolver smith's in the country. Many of the shooters at this years IRC (Smith and Wesson International Revolver Competition) will be running his guns. Including my self if I can get the time off. Of course if you use him it will be that much longer before I get my gun back .

I dunno, you might think of trying to find a 4" barrel & having it installed instead of shortening yours to keep the scripting on the barrel centered. S&W might even have them.
