I'm embarassed, I only have one knife. My Emerson Mini Commander. Anyone else have only one?

Nope.

I'm up to nine ( 6 folders & 3 fixed blade) knives in my small, yet ever growing collection.

Here in a few days I'll be getting another Benchmade ( 905 ) in the mail from South Carolina, so you can change my total to ten ..

A new BM 551, which is in the works, will be knife number eleven.
:D

Sorry but you are not allowed to post in this section if you only have one knife. :neener: Up till I saw the post titled "Have you ever been bored" I had no "modern" folders. Had a few old folders in some drawers and a couple skining knives, but thats it. I now have 4 fixed blades and 7 new folders...if you can stop with just one do it, do not come over the the dark side!

How do you like the Mini Commander? I guess if its your only knife, then it must be OK.

How is the Wave opening? It looks like its a notch on the backside of the blade that catches on your pocket when you draw it. I'm looking at the full sized Commander. It seems kind of expensive, but for a high quality folder, it looks like a great knife.

Thanks for your input.

I only *carry* one knife these days, the Sifu. It's basically a constant companion, it goes on in the AM, or it's by my bed.

I have about 10 I think. I always forget which knives I own for some reason.

If I found a Kershaw w/ a stainless handle & blade, I'd have another, but for right now, it's just me & my Blackout.

One box. No nice folders or larger baoynets in this box.

I kind of have a thing for those Anza file knives. I even have one that has a tactical black finish just for you, Skunk! :p

I only have one: Benchmade Griptilla 556

Call me 'uninfected with the knife bug', but I can't really see why I'd buy another.

i have more than i can count.if i could remember where they are all at to count.

Skunk,

I'm embarassed, I only have one knife.

You poor thing! If you come to visit in TN, I'll give you one of mine; I'm alla time givin' knives to friends, they make swell impulse gifts.

Keep knives to a minimum

Skunk,

I can see the benefits of only keeping one knife. In a bugout situation, you only grab one blade instead of trying to decide which blade you should take. My philosophy on this is that I try to picture myself before an impending war as I am being called up for territorial army duty......I've grabbed all my standard issue gear, some essential personal equipment and am deciding what knives to take with me to war. All my knives should have some purpose and if they are redundant, I should not buy them.
Here is my collection as it stands....

One Buck Protege (To pass to mom for opening govt ration packs)
One Spyderco Police Model (For personal use as a utility knife)
One Camillus Pilot Survival Knife (to give to dad for self-defense)
One SOG Recondo (To take with me as a fighting knife)

I'd also bring a small can of OC spray and a compact telescopic baton if case I have to process POWs...but's that's another storey for another thread.

How about the two already in my pockets and the one that's on the pistol belt with my spare ammo pouches?

When gas prices come down :D

I have only one knife [per pocket].

The bug out bag has three knives in it. The SRK, an older Endura and a swiss army multi-tool.

Grab the bag and go, no wondering/deciding which knife to take, thats already been determined and packed away for the possible bugout for whatever reasons.

The are no benefits to having only one knife at all unless it's one knife per pocket and one on the neck.;)
