Who makes muzzleloading shotguns?

T/C used to make the New Englander. You could swap the 12 ga barrel for a .50 cal barrel depending on what you wanted to hunt. Check around and search on the internet. You may just find one for sale. I built one from a kit and it was a really nice shotgun.

If, (oh boy, here we go) by chance, you would be intersted in an inline shotgun, Knight makes the TK-2000. I was really surprised with the quality of it when mine showed up, and it patterns 85% at 40 yards with 2 ounces of #5's and 100 grains 777 ffg. OK, it's a turkey gun, but they also sell different choke tubes for it, and it's very stout for a ML shotty. CVA also had a single barrel side hammer called the trapper if I recall, or at least they did until the Optima shotgun came out a year or so ago.

Tennessee Valley Muzzleloaders make fowlers in 20 gauge in flintlock and I think in percussion lock. They are custom type guns and have many options for you to pick and choos, including your exact length of pull.

Cabela's have both a double barreled rifle and a double barreled 20 Gauge shotgun muzzle loaders.

The rifle is meant for hunting Kodiak bears. They have a range of barrel sizes from .50 caliber all the way up to a .72 caliber. That is a big, big bullet. Two barrels means you can shoot again if the first one doesn't kill the bear and it comes after you.

The shotgun is a generic muzzle loading shotgun. Load powder, wad, shot pellets, and a card on top of the pellets to keep them in the barrel. Put caps on the two nozzles and you are ready for bird hunting, most likely those pesky orange disk shaped ones.

They only have one single barreled shotgun, but it is the TK-2000 mentioned above. Looks like a very modern rifle, and not a traditional wood and rabbit ear hammer shotgun.

Mortimer Shotgun

I use mostly Pedersoli ( www.davide-pedersoli.com) shotguns. If you are looking for a single barrel I can recommend the Mortimer shotgun 12 ga in percussion or flintlock. The mortimer is an outstanding gun and in the sporting field it even won Championships. It is available in a standard configeration or deluxe ( hand engraved) If you prefere a side by side Pedersoli makes them in 20 ga, 12 ga and 10 ga. again standard and deluxe.

The shotguns from cabelas and Dixi gun works are also made by Pedersoli.
You also should check out www.thetrackofthewolf.com for used unusual and handmade guns.
