I bought a ch auto champion out of an estate and it had all the original documents and a small blue book entitled how to love your progressive reloading press. It's a valuable book for those who operate vintage equipment.

In the books credits it list out other companies Paul had or was associated with and I am a sucker for collecting things from people I never met. So i started buying fitz pistol grips.

I am curious who he was and if he is still alive as I can't find an obit and he seemed to have been a moderator here at one point.

I just want to hear some stories if anyone has any please.

He was a moderator on TFL, too.
I remember him mainly for his position that the 7.7 mm Arisaka was meant to have .30-06 ammo crammed in for desperation defense.

I remember seeing him at the Los Angeles gun show in about 1978. He sold a lot of Star reloaders and assorted reloading pieces and parts. Seems he was well known around that area.

Thanks for posting the question. I have a set of walnut (not plastic!) Fitz grips for a K frame S&W that are very comfortable. Background information on the fellow who made these will be very welcome.

I have one rusting in the floor with the dies transplanted to Dillon heads. If you want it for parts and can figure a cheap way to get it there, you may have it for parts.

Hatcher describes ( pp 209-211) how our service cartridge can be made to fire in Japanese Model 99 (7,7mm) rifles with a certain amount of inherent danger but not the other way around. Three illustrations are provided. He does not address whether this was an intentional design factor or not.

Is it the same Paul Jones of bullet mold fame?

I've got 3 of his BPCR bullet molds and they are pretty awesome.
