i am looking to make a list of places that will ship ammo to upstate new york, most will not, I hear guys say certain companies will send it to use without a ffl. I saw that new york passed something saying we can now get the ammo sent to are homes. so if anyone knows who will sent here, there are many new yorkers here that would appreciate it. thanks. troy.

Greetings , I am a newbie to this site. Under Cuomo's SAFE ACT no ammo can be purchased online and sent to a home address. A workaround is to find a local sport shop or FFL that will accept shipment from the online store that you bought your ammo from. Usually your local FFL or sport shop will charge you a small fee for the transaction. Living in New York is terrible for law biding gun owners, trying to exercise their 2nd Amendment Rights.

Are you just trolling or not able to use Google? Your questions will be answered easily enough
some sites say they will ship, none to the city, they don't say if it has to be sent to a ffl most times. i am just trying to get a list so others from NY can shop around for better deals.

Well, in NYC, they're afraid you'll shoot your eye out, that's why BB guns have been illegal there for the last 70+ years.

That's why when I was a kid, I had to buy one outside the city, then serreptitiously smuggle it back in.

Thanks for posting that info. The only place I was aware of was Target Sports USA; where I recently got 1000 rds. of 9mm. I wasn't sure who else shipped to NY state, even though they can if they want to. Nice to see Bud's Gun Shop on the list. After the passage of the so-called "SAFE ACT" a lot of places started treating the rest of the state as if it were NY City. Although with the current governor and the state senate and assembly being Democrat controlled since last November I expect things to change in the coming year; and not in a good way for the second amendment.

Troy if you come across that info from NYS saying it's all good, post it up please. I'd like to get some more 45 colt and 44 special for less than a buck a round. My FFL doesn't mind shipping to them, be a hassle at times.

NY SAFE ACT - ONLINE AMMUNITION SALES

Just mere days after celebrating our great nation’s independence, Republicans have taken a huge step forward for Second Amendment supports and making substantial changes to New York’s SAFE Act by fortifying an obligatory “memorandum of understanding”(M.O.U). State Senator James L. Seward has pushed for change since the 2013 when the SAFE act was originally sanctioned.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has agreed to suspend plans for background checks for ammunition sales in New York and allow internet sales of ammunition, changing part of the NY Safe Act, according to state Sen. James Seward.

“While I will continue to work for full repeal of the poorly crafted, over-reaching NY-SAFE Act, this is a significant accomplishment—and constitutes the only modifications that have been made to this law since it was enacted two years ago over my objection”. Seward has continually stated that the database for ammunition was faulty and "fraught with problems since it was first conceived," and be removing this aspect, it will prevent any future money from being squandered. With the backing and support of Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan and Jim Malatras, director of state operations, this can only be considered a big win for both the State of New York and for its private citizens. The focus of these changed laid in two parts “The two provisions that will be changed are both related to ammunition. The MOU, which was signed by New York State Director of Operations James Malatras and Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan, puts an end to the portion of the act that would establish a database and require those who purchase ammunition to undergo a background check. It also ends the moratorium on on-line purchases of ammunition”.
here's some info from target sports, i'm still looking for the post from ny state.
