If this question is in the wrong category, please move it.

I am going to sell some guns. I will NOT violate any law to do so. Does anyone know someplace in Sacramento who will ship on their FFL for a fee?

A....reasonable....fee. I have been quoted over $100 by two separate dealers.

I will list the guns on here for "private party" sales, but some are sorta rare guns and may have to go out of state.

Thanks.

$100 is a complete ripoff, but they've got you by the shorthairs 'cause they've got the FFL and you don't. How about you offer to do the legwork? Package it up and take it to the postoffice. All the dealer has to do is record it in his book.

FFL Transfer

Go to GunsAmerica and on the home page is a catagory "Find A Transfer Dealer". Click that and type in your area code. There are a number of FFL holders and their cost listed and I am sure you will find a few for way less than 100 bucks. Shoot, if need be, contact Pete Daniels up in Camp Connell (Hiway 4 above Angels Camp) and he'll handle the transaction for you for a lot less than 100 bucks.

TopGun, you do not need an FFL to shp a long gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can ship your long gun to an FFL for him to: transfer, sell, trade or repair. A handgun you can ship yourself to an FFL. In order sell, transfer or trade a firearm to another individual in and other state this action must go thru an FFL!

You can ship a handgun via FED-X, UPS ( most UPS personal are idiots :fire: at their locations and they will prove their stupidity by telling you no). FFL holders can ship handgun via USPS: NOT A NON-FFL holder.

When shipping to an FFL, prior to shipping call the FFL and get the first 3 and last 5 digits of he license. Then the FFL can be verified here:
https://www.atfonline.gov/fflezcheck/

After validating FFL, package and ship it.

One note about shipping guns yourself. Make sure that the FFL that is going
to recieve the gun will accept it from an non FFL. Some won't They will only
go FFL to FFL. I just went thru this in OH. I had to go to three gun shops
before I found one that would recieve it for me without an FFL.

What are you selling??? if being sold to a private party and it is not a "banned" weapon, you can meet the buyer at a FFL dealer location, hand over the gun, collect your money from buyer and then he has to wait for the background check as if he was buying it from the dealer.

I am always interested in "old" guns for sale!
Please post the ad!!!!
lol

As fstsinyc mentioned, there are many dealers who will only go FFL-to-FFL. They're concerned about liability.

The Gun Room in Sacramento does transfers out of state. They charge $25 if you box up the gun for shipping, and $50 if they have to package it.
