At the range, I bought 2 boxes of Silver Bear 7.62x39 FMJ out of curiosity and was very pleased with it. Normally I use Golden Tiger. The boxes I bought were $6 a piece. I've been looking for bulk deals online but it has been very tough to find. It seems like Silver Bear x39 is out of stock at all the major ammo websites. What is the deal here? Does anyone know where I can order a 500 or more case of the stuff online?

Likely because of the rapidly increasing ammo prices, the stuff is selling like hotcakes. First come/first served and all.

The stances of the candidates for the upcoming election may also be a factor. Ammunition is being hoarded. Instead of selling a box or two at a time, it's going out the doors in case lots.

IMO, Barnaul used to be hard to find, but I finally found some online.

I normally see Wolf if I see anything down here, but others trickle in in batches at times.

J&G shows Silver Bear, but not in FMJ. The soft-point load, with nickel-plated steel cases, sounds like a good idea for very long term storage and is as low (relative term) as $4.50 per box.
