I save my pennies and nickles studiously. I watch the forum classifieds and gunshows for months on end without finding anything that really appeals to me. Then something appears and I blow all the nickles and pennies on it. Sure as the devil, within the next three days on the classifieds there will be at least 6 other things I wish I could buy and cant. Ever notice that?

I am absolutely with you, stuff goes in streaks. I'll go months without finding a single thing I want, then 'BAM', I'll find four things in two weeks and be broke, broke, broke.
I think it's a plot.:neener:

O Boy -

As my wife says

"They" always know eggzactly how much money you have,

And pick it off as soon as possible.

This has to do with quantum mechanics.

I think its God!
Hummm... Yesterday I bought 500 rds of 9mm. (They had them in stock.) I thought today I will go back and get the gun once I check one more place.... Someone got my credit card number and now I have to wait for another card!!!:cuss:

Now I have 500 rds and No pistol.... Means there is a better deal comin':)

Sounds like the situation where you buy a car, and suddenly they're all over the road - you come across a deal, and then you start seeing 'deals' everywhere.

Happens all the time.

Have money and I don't see what I intended on buying.

Have no money and there are three or four up for sale at really good prices.

Seems to happen to me EVERY DARN TIME I buy something which is why I'm exercising patience with my next intended purchase (see sig line :)). It's about all I can afford at the moment, but I'm not settling for anything less than just what I want at a reasonable price. I can wait; it'll come along. I've found not being in a hurry goes a long way toward alleviating this problem (easier said than done sometimes, I know).

Ramen can be really tasty...especially when it's all you can NOW afford to eat...

hey dont joke its not my fault im a college kid lol

now if only i had the money for that ak-47... hmmm lets see i can spend the money i have for books next semester on the ak and use it to defend myself incase Red Dawn comes true or the zombies come to visit or i could go to class and get a job that might let me afford stuff in the future such hard decisions. i need a new job that pays better and will let me still go to school

i wonder how much change i have

I've more or less lived on Ramen a time or two. My favorite recipe: put 2 or 3 of the beef flavored bricks in large bowl, sprinkle on flavor packets, douse HEAVILY with the hottest hot sauce you can find, fill bowl with HOT tap water, microwave for 5 minutes on high, stir, and eat. Cheap, tasty, filling, quick and easy to make, and it clears out your sinuses (particularly if you drink the broth afterward... hoo-ahh!).

I find those $0.80 instant potatoes quite tasty, mind you...

Firearms weren't quite the reason I got a job, but funding those certainly helps spending the money I do manage to save up, hehe.

Pertaining to the topic, I do manage to find deals and luckily, I haven't had one of those "incredible deals" pop up after I snagged a new gun. Some might call it bad luck, but I consider myself lucky :D

-edit-

On the ramen noodle discussion, I find that the best additive to anything I "cook" (i.e. microwave) is Frank's Red Hot. Sure enough, it'll clear up those sinus problems, too.
