Maybe fter the fact?

Why is he holding it at 1:00pm? Hopefully the vote will be over by then or does he know something we don't?

Could it be that he's going to make the Democratic caucus last till after the dog and pony show?:banghead:

MGLouie, back in 2004 the senate minority leader kept the Democrats locked up in caucus almost all day because he knew the votes were there to override.

There was a loud argument between Senator Russ Decker and Minority Leader Erpenbach that could almost be heard out in the halls.

PPA supporters were standing outside the caucus room chanting "come on out and vote!"

Makes for good political theatre. ;)

This makes me think that Assembly Minority Leader Jim Kreuser may try the same stunt with his caucus.

Well, if the "Travelgate" scandal goes as far as we know it does, the Doylet's next "photo op" with LEO's may well be a "perp walk".

Unfortunately, these things take time...

Dick, PLEASE don't remind me of that: I was sure i was gonna have to bail my old man out over that one!

I won't be able to make it tomorrow: work is just too busy. But I'll be there in spirit, and hoping for a "We did it!" phone call!

MEDIA ADVISORY

Governor Doyle, Law Enforcement to Call on
Assembly to Uphold Veto of Concealed Weapons Bill

With the State Assembly set to take a critical vote Tuesday that will decide the fate of the concealed weapons bill, Governor Jim Doyle will join with members of law enforcement at the State Capitol tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. to call on the Assembly to uphold the Governor’s veto.

The concealed weapons bill would allow loaded, hidden guns at shopping malls, concerts, banks, playgrounds, and even school zones, putting our kids and communities at risk.

The bill is opposed by a broad coalition of law enforcement groups, including the Superintendent of the Wisconsin State Patrol, Dave Collins, Badger State Sheriffs Association, the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association, the Wisconsin Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs Association, the Wisconsin County Police Association, the Association of State Prosecutors.

Q: Why is every gun-grabber news conference crowded with policemen in uniform?

Comment: For those members who always chime in: "Don't blame the police, they just enforce the law"... I'm asking, how do you explain this away? If the reply is: "well, these anti-gun cops are merely administrators and policitcal appointees; rank and file cops are overwhelmingly pro-gun"...please post the news articles about the massive counter demonstration being staged by pro-gun police, in opposition to their gun grabber superiors.

Now is your chance to shine, and prove that among LE, pro-RKBA faction is more than a figment of imagination. Thanks.

Need a favor

I have to attend my Grandmother's funeral today. Could someone call my cell phone and leave a voice mail message? Just say pass or fail if you want to keep it short. The whole clan will be there and I'll be able to fill them in. I'll PM the number if anyone is willing.

I just hope that the Assembly audio is working today. It says that they should be in session at 11am but I wouldn't count on it too much.
