I have a winchester 74 and I would like to get a manual for it. I would also like to know a little history about them and when this one was made. serial # is 500583A 100_0380.jpg 100_0376.jpg thanks

Really that much I was told a 150 in good condition and mine isn't in perfect condition it's in fair I'd say. The wood has scratches and it's at i'd guess 95% blueing and in need of a good cleaning but I love it and I haven't even shot it yet in fact it probably hasn't been shot in over 20 years it just sat in a gun cabnit in a large collection of my grandfathers collecting dust.

I could probably bumble my way through takedown if I had to but I would just like to have the book or an internet thing like something off of adobereader. Is it a good shooter I was thinking of taking it coon hunting when season gets in.

my granddad had one that was a .22 short only, he loved to squirrel hunt, my dad had one .22 long rifle, I still have it, one of the best open sight 22 rifles I've ever had. assembly and dissasembly are pretty straight forward, hope you get to shoot it before long.

here's an ad from when they came out
