Wife got her birthday present today.

Well went and got it, nib springfield xd sub-compact in 9mm. Not to bad I dont guess $550.00 with trijicon night sights and 2 mags 1 16 rounder anyhow, its hers even though I want to tinker with it its her new carry gun. Not bad for a 21st birthday present.

Sounds like a nice weapon. I bet she loves it. I wish I could get my wife to carry a semiauto. She refuses because she does not like the brass flying out. However she loves the 4'' Colt Python I bought her many a year ago.

What's wrong with a revolver? No reason for her to carry a pistol if she likes the revolver better. I and many others prefer a revolver and we are well protected without carrying a pistol. Maybe she should be working on you to change over to a revolver. I bet she tells her friends she wishes she could get you to carry a revolver but you like brass flying all over the place!! LOL

I bet it is her present and not BigDaddy's. Every year I would ask my wife what she wanted it was always the same: '57 Chevy, a Colt Python and whatever it was she thought I would get her. When I did bring home the Python she was totally floored. I still don't have that '57 Chevy though...

Anyway I don't mind her love of the Python so much anymore and to be perfectly honest since she can put three of six rounds in the ten ring at 25 yards I am not too woried about her being under armed against one or two assailants.

Ya beat me getting my wife her first gun by 22yrs and, I started her out with a Sig P232 SL 380 w/fingered polymer grips.

My Sig 229 9mm Carry will be her next step, in the evolution, of Mrs LS.. lol

I actually gave my wife her first gun on my recent, April 13, Friday, 07 birthday, as a gift from the birthday boy..

Now she says, don't ever piss me off..

And I responded, yes my little love-BUG (thinking of the gun)

Believe it or not my wife loves guns and loves learning about them and she actually picked the gun out I was looking and an H&K usp for her and she picked out the XD 9mm we already have the XD in .45 and fulllsize 9mm she just really liked the way it shoots and she trusts the weapon, We just got back from shooting and its a great shooter and pretty darn acurate at 25 yards for a 3 inch barrell.
