Wife got her first hog

Here's a pic of my wifes fist kill. Here is the way it played out. We were going to the woods to pull out my stand. ( we just left the range zeroing in her new scope the rifle is a Marlin XL7 30-06) On the way she said that she never had killed eny thing, so I was going to let her go shoot a tree rat while My child and I pulled down the stand. Just before we got to the stand I heard a pig I looked over the hill and there was one . I told my child to go get my wifes rifle after she got back we stalked into about 35yds of the hog and after about a 3 min wait she got into a clean shot postion the hog was faceing us I told my wife to shoot it in the head a couple sec later the rifle boomed and the hog droped in the spot. The shot was true it went in the left eye passed through the chin and then went through the left leg.

Didn't have any tasty lil' piglets around? Coulda had fun on 'em with a 10/22 or something. Looks like that sow was feeding some. She's a good tasty size. Congrats!

tryed to catch them but they were a little to fast in the under growth. I got a pic of another sow with 12 pigglets
