i have this goal to kill one of every big game in north carolina

ive got the deer and a turkey im working on a bear and i want to get a boar before i leave for alaska. what is the best county in nc for boar? any place with good game lands? any tips

I don't know that much about NC, but here in TN there are lots of big farms that hogs do a lot of damage to. What I would do is call your local agricultural ext. office and ask if they know of any farmers who are having wild/feral hog trouble. Often enough the farmers are all to happy to have you come and help. (Most of the hogs I have killed have fallen in that category). Even if they don't know of any locally they are likely to have heard about counties in which hogs are a problem and can point you in the right direction.

They are only considered a big game animal in the eastern most counties nere the TN border. Other than those counties the boars are not regulated by NCDNR. The counties are Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson, Macon, & Swain.

Wild Boar

Hi,
We are putting together a boar trip into North Carolina next year.

When are you moving?
Send me an email and I'll get the specifics together for you.
