I've read that the 5-stitch and CSM belts are both great belts. That said,... Has your experience with the CSM been positive or negative? Some have commented that the CSM belts is uncomfortable and "digs" in or "rubs" uncomfortably. Does this pertain to heavier..uhm...builds or thinner types. The woman at Wilderness on the telephone explained to me that thinner people usually find the CSM belt more uncomfortable. She also mentioned that the CSM belt was designed for heavier people. I'm not heavy and have no overhanging extra body fat. If you find the belt comfortable or uncomfortable please let me know if you are heavier or thin. Thanks

Well I just got my Wilderness CSM belt 2 days ago and wore it for about 14 hours straight yesterday while working. It was a mix of office work and light physical work (bending over, picking up objects under 50 lbs. etc.)
I am a slim guy, 5'9", 150 lbs. and the belt was great. It was very secure holding my G23 in a Galco OTW holster, my extra G22 mag, a Leaterman and a Surefire flashlight. It did not sag or loosen up at all. I did not feel it "digging into me" as you described, and I'll admit, I thought it might.
Over all, I'd say the CSM might be stiffer than I need but I'm very happy with it and wouldn't switch it out for 5 stitch. I hope this helps you.

I'm in the heavier bracket. I've got two CSM, One for IWB and one 2" smaller for OWB. I've worn one or the other almost every day for the past 4 years. I love them!

I have been wearing the Wilderness 5 stitch belt for about 25 years now. I guess you could call it an endorsement. They are made here in Phoenix. Used to have them made up as I waited.
I went from abit over weight to fat in that time. I still swear by the 5 stitch, not at it.
I find the CSM something like the 40 S&W, I hear some folks like them, but I ain't found a reason, yet.
Go figure.

I received my Wilderness 5-stitch coyote tan belt about a week ago. I've been wearing it every day and while it may be a bit early to comment, I have to say it's more comfortable than any leather belt that I have worn. It cinches snugly, won't loosen, and carries my M&P close and tight to my body...much more so than my leather belts. I'm not even sure why it's more comfortable but it almost feels like I dont have a belt on, yet my weapon stays secure. Thank you all for the feedback...much appreciated.

I don't have any experience with the CSM, but I can tell you about belts and skinny people...
I'm 6 feet tall, and at the moment, I'm down to about 130. I'm a rail.
I wear my pants such that my belt sits just below the top of my pelvic bone on the side of my body.
In that position, some belts can be uncomfortable. I'm essentially completely flat across the front of my body, and when you get to my side, it makes a pretty drastic curve around the corner to my side.
Very stiff belts can be uncomfortable. For a long time, I've worn a duty belt, and it tends to push in on the very front of that pelvic bone, which gets uncomfortable. Bending exacerbates the issue.
I just got a Rock Steady gunbelt, by High Noon Holsters. Very stiff belt, 1 1/2 inch wide leather. So far, no complaints. I can feel it hitting that same spot, but some belts bother me worse than others. Dress belts with the little slidey-lock buckle are some of the worst I've ever worn.
I've also had a reinforced tuckable IWB holster in my belt at 130 for the last two days, making CCW Dry runs. No big complaints with that in my pants either.
So, yeah, if you're a beanpole like me, many belts aren't very comfortable. It's tough to call ahead of time. I have to wear them a while to really find out. So far, I've had the Rock Steady on for a week, and I like it a lot so far. No discomfort at all.
