I'm loving my newest addition, a Pietta 1858 Remington, but it's in need of a leather home when I'm walking around the back forty.
Does anyone here know if an 1858 replica will fit in a Bianchi X15 extra large holster?
I have a few belt holsters picked out for the gun if the X15 doesn't pan out, but I have enjoyed the extra mobility certain shoulder holsters allow while doing other tasks.
If anyone has any other shoulder holster suggestions for the 1858, I'd be happy to hear them.
Thanks for your time.

You could probably call Bianchi and ask them.

El Paso Saddlery has some Old West style shoulder holsters.

You buy the X-15 by the barrel length. The X-15 is a "sort of" one size fits all based on barrel length.
In other words, an X-15 made to fit an 6" barrel gun will fit almost any 6" barreled pistol or revolver.

However, holstering a single action revolver in a concealment type shoulder holster is rather risky because the hammer might catch and cause an AD.

A better choice for a open carry field holster or under a jacket shoulder holster would be El Paso Saddlery's copy of the US M3 Tanker Holster.
They make these to fit virtually any pistol or revolver in most barrel length up to 8 3/8".

Another option would be one of Uncle Mike's nylon shoulder holsters.

Don't skip it too fast. Those Bianchi X-15's make pretty good field rigs for hunting, as long as you have the right size, as mentioned above. They have one that is one size larger......not sure which of the two will work with your gun.

I just went out and dug thru my old holsters. The extra large x-15 fit my 8 3/8" S&W M-29 in the early 80s when I hiked with it a few years. It also fits a 7 1/2" Ruger Super Black hawk.So if the remmy is around that size....

I've carried an 8" Remmie New Model Army replica in a Bianchi X -15 size XL. Works very well with that revolver.

I have an X15 for my 7.5 Colt Peacemaker.
Good combination. Can't wear that barrel in an ATV bucket seat in a belt holster & expect to get it out.
Shoulder rig makes it practical.
