The sarin shell in Iraq is worth a look. Didn't do what it was supposed to because the binary agents didn't mix. Take the same deal in two quart bottles strapped on anybodys whack job at the republican convention in NYC. Form fitting jugs woudn't show up on detectors. There are a lot of possibilities and all need addressed.

It's not out of the realm of possibility.

There are many who think the Australian gun ban was such a set-up (search "Port Arthur Massacre cover-up" or "hoax"). Discrepancies such as altered video, conflicting witness testimonies, and a lack of confession are detailed. Strangest thing to me is not that the suspect was handled in an extremely non-traditional manner ignoring all his rights according to legal precedent but that the gov't "experts" claim he simply doesn't recall the details because of his mental state. A mental state that somehow allowed this untrained madman to execute a whole restaurant full of people with extremely accurate head shots in an unbelievably short time.

Should it happen here I would refuse to be punished for the illegal actions of others. My rights remain.

I agree with El Tejon that they will stick with proven methods, but I would add that they go for the same targets which they have missed in the past. Witness the WTC.

I would say that D.C. is defiintely a target since they missed with that flight that went down in PA.

Here's the scary part. A "genuine" attack would be completely indistinguishable from an "orchestrated" attack. Worse, there really is no important distinction between them, as any sort of attack advances the goals of both types of perpetrators.

Ergo, many people could be/are faced with genuine attacks and refuse to respond correctly, believing that they are being manipulated by the government. OTOH, the government could ram more "national insecurity" uselessness down our throats and few would object.

Worst of both worlds. I personally believe that the present situation is genuine, and should be classified a true war and fought as one.

BTW, my Arabic professor said that a better translation for "al-qa'ida" would be "the camp," not "the base." I know it's the version used by the govt press people, but whatever.
