Does anyone know for sure if Cabela's Kinectic Bullet Puller will work on .45 ACP? Their website says it works up to .416, but it has 3-collars just like the more expensive RCBS and Dillon's. Matter of fact, the puller looks exactly like RCBS's puller.

Tnx

If it wouldn't, it would not be of much use for anything.

The .45 ACP is the same head size as the 30-06, which about half of all modern rifle calibers are based on.

The three collets fit small cases like the .223, the middle one fits 30-06 size (IE: most everything), and the biggest one fits belted mags, and large revolver rounds.

Mine has worked just fine on .45ACP/9mm/.380 rounds. Yours will too.

One tip... stop by the local Sportmart or wherever and buy a couple of the CHEAPEST rubber hockey pucks they stock (usually about a buck a piece).

make a jim dandy striking surface for the bullet puller and any other blunt force trauma tasks you might want to do to a firearm.

I have used the Cabela's bullet puller for 9mm\40 S&W\45 ACP\.223 Remington, without any issues.

RandyP, great idea on the hockey pucks I will have to pick some up.

Hey good thinking on the hocky puck. I use a 2X4 until it is completly torn up then get another one. I might have to get me a puck.

I whack mine on a small piece of railroad track I picked up once. That'll make 'em give it up real quick-like. Just like a little anvil.

I'm a rookie reloader and was concerned about the durability of the Cabelas plastic "hammer/puller" if I started whacking it on a hard surface.

I've use the pucks for any number of chores (punching holes in gasket material, installing/removing pins in pistol frames etc) and knew they worked well, last a long time and are super cheap to replace.

I bought my first kinetic puller in '65. Crop-failure thing broke last summer! I've replaced it with an RCBS hammer, when it breaks I'm gonna look for a freebie replacement, just ain't going to put up with this constantly paying for new ones myself!
