Hi, I found some cheaply priced and new Colt AR15 magazines.. I was wondering if I can use them with both .223 and 5.56 ammo and will they be compatible with my DPMS Sportical? Basically, can I use any type of AR15 magazine in a DPMS .223/5.56 gun, like the Sportical?

I don't see why there would be an issue. I have found that a lot of the cheap mags tend to hold the bolt open before the last round is stripped out. Often times the round just sits loose ontop of the mag. Other then that I have never had any problems with ar15 mags.

Would you consider COlt mags to be low quality? They are cheap, but I think they are good deal. What brand of mags would you suggest, that are a resaonable price and can be found right now?

All Colt mags are made to U.S. GI Mil-Spec, and will work in any AR-15 built even close to mil-spec, regardless of brand.

Cheap real Colt mags are a once in a lifetime find!
Better get'm while you can!

Make sure they're genuine Colt. With the run on high-cap mags lately, I dunno that anyone would be pricing Colt mags "cheap" (unless we're talking in relative terms). I know counterfeit Colt 1911 mags are out there; anyone heard of counterfeit Colt AR mags?

How can you know if they are genuine colts? There is a guy on gun broker selling them, and they have the colt inscription on the picture, but I am not s knowledgable about these things. What would I ask the seller to verify they are real Colt Mags? He is selling them for like $27.50 and has good stock of them for now.

Gt one n put a couple on reserve..
try the one out.. if it works, go back n buy the others.. if possible.

PS, yeah it should work.
