Will the madness ever end?

So I bought my first gun, a Yugo SKS, early last fall. Since then, I've picked up a Ruger 10/22 and MkIII, a Springfield XD 9, a Yugo 24/47 Mauser, a CMMG AR-15 and I just got back from the gun store where I purchased a used Remington 1100 in excellent shape for $300. Now I'm just wondering if this gun purchasing madness will ever stop? It seems like I'm completely satiated after purchasing a new gun for about a week and then I'm back fiending for another one.

Ah well, I'm just glad I'm young and single so I don't really have any other expenses.

End? No. Eventually slow down? Yes, you'll eventually get closer and closer to the end (but never reach it) every time you buy the guns you want. Unfortunately, the manufacturers come up with something new every year that will make it to your list. Oh, and your tastes will change over time.

Enjoy it while you can! :neener:

Now, I love my better half, but I definitely know a lot more of my budget would be going to guns if I were still single.

But there are some things in life that are just as good as guns. ;)

Wait 'til you catch the bug of customizing and hanging goodies on what ya got... My M1A loaded cost me $1500. The scope I'm planning on putting on it will run another $1500, the stock will run another $750... better stop thinking about it... :(

I am going to stop as soon as I get a subcompact .45, a .22 pistol, a new .22 rifle. . . something in .223, either an AR or a SU-16C. Then I will be done.

Oh, and a trap gun, that's it.

Until I get a Garand.

Of course then I would want some type of pistol-caliber carbine, like maybe a SUB2000. Yeah that would be cool.

Almost forgot some day I want a .50BMG.

I think I'll be done after that.

Oh crap I won't have a wheelgun! A nice .357 would be cool. . .

etc. etc. etc.

Hey, some 20 years ago, I got out of the Air Force and just intended to buy "one gun". Suddenly, there were Druganovs and Spetznatz shooting knives being imported into this country, as were New made SKS's and authentic except for being semiautomatic, AK's. Ammuntion was dirt cheap. Then a law was passed making it illegal to sell newly manufactured machine guns to civilians. Shooting knives were banned, surplus 7.62 x 39 was banned becuase it was steel core. A republican President restricted imports of rifles with military features. Certain shotguns with features that made them superior in terms of tactical and defensive uses were reclassified to where they were essentially banned. Then the Brady Bill was passed, and then the AWB. Imports of guns from China, even though they had followed the restrictions were banned. Then there was where domestic violence, even misdemeanor, would retroactively forfiet your gun rights for life. The thing is: If you are really being targeted, You're NOT PARANOID. You like me, are a sensible and wise person. You realize, that if you don't buy the guns that you want soon, you may NEVER get to own them. Or. they wil be priced to the point where you can't afford them.

No, itll never stop. Ive picked up 2 just this week (Yugo SKS and a Garand). But unfortunetly, i cant buy any more till i get a new safe. Im over capacity as it is (8). Its like playing tetris...only with guns. New safe should be with in a month or so, so hopefully, maybe 2 more before Christmas.

Oh man this summer was a "disaster" for me. I just turned 21, so I wanted to buy a handgun. Thats all I planned for. So I bought a Sig P220 (which I love, btw).

A week or two later, I had an urge to get a semi auto rifle, since I didn't have one. A bit later I wound up with a Yugo SKS.

Long story short before the summer was out I had also bought a 7.62x39 saiga, and a Garand.

I'm already making plans to buy an M1 Carbine next summer from CMP. Lets see if I can make that my only gun purchase next year. :p Its doubtful, I've had the urge to get a 9mm pistol. A CPO Sig P226 anyone?

EDIT: Oh and I cant forget, I need a Mosin Nagant sooner or later.

Wait until you actually start shooting them..

I've probably put just under ten thousands rounds down range already so yes, all the guns (except for the Mauser), have been heavily shot. There shall be no safe queens in my house.

And damn you people for reminding me of the Garand since it now needs to be added to the ever growing list.

Nope, now you need a good bolt action you can make clover leafs with at 100 yards, then a ,,, then a,,,,, then

Well then, you're beyond saving. That was your only hope is that you hadn't shot them and learned that they loud, smelly and dirty. Now you are really in trouble. :)
