Anyone done serious accuracy testing on Wilson Combat target ammo? Either their .45 ACP with 200 grain LSWC or 9 mm with either 115 or 125 grain Hornady HAP bullets? Are these better than typical factory RN FMJ ammo (almost all of mine happens to be S&B at the moment, and a little Federal American Eagle).

I'm looking for something to use as a benchmark to compare my reloads to, or as a substitute when I'm too busy or lazy to reload. This is for bullseye-type shooting at 25 and sometimes 50 yards, not run-and-gun, so by accuracy I mean real group size, not "I can hit the A zone at 10 yards."

Shooting .45s from a Range Officer and 9s from a DW Pointman9.

OPINION
I would expect the Wilson brand to do better than generic hardball just from the better bullets.
But you can know for sure, give them a try in your guns.

A friend gave me some Atlanta Arms 9mm that did as well as I could tell, but I am no longer as accurate as I used to be.
