Have a 1949 Win 94 carbine in .32WS. It was my Dad's truck gun in the 50's, a blast to shoot, and a real crowd pleaser at the range when I take it out. Not a lot of .32WS ammo running around even before the current craziness. My normal MO was to visit every ammo stand at the gun show and buy whatever .32WS they had (usually one box per stand at the most). Last time I went, I got a couple boxes of Hornady LEVERevolution. Never shot it before and when I got home and opened it up I saw it had a spitzer design (shown). My question is, even though most .32WS chamberings are in a tubular mag rifle (Win and Marlin I think), I am a little hesitant to load spitzer type ammo nuts to butts in a tubular mag. Last time out I just put one in the mag and one in the chamber and shot that way. Anybody have any insights on the relative safety of this? Thanks. .32 WS cartridge.jpg

It's a plastic tip that won't set off a primer. I ran a box or two of it through a 35Rem Marlin I once had. It's good ammo, not my favorite, but good.
Thank you Sir, appreciate it. That's what I reckoned, but I like to make sure. I couldn't imagine they could make it for tubular mags if there was a built in hazard, but it just didn't pass the smell test when I first used it. Still feels weird poking them in the loading gate one after another.

 I had a hard time seeing the plastic tip at first, so I had a "OMG!!" moment there. But, yes, leverevolution ammo runs in tube magazine rifles, as others said. It was designed for those Winchesters and Marlins.

I’ve shot it in .35 Rem., 45/70, .30-30 and .44 Mag lever rifles. I think Hornady did a great job on them, they have all been accurate and reliable across the board for me.

Stay safe.

Thanks all. Exactly what I was looking for. The LeveRevolutions shoot fine, never a question of that, it was poking them in a tube one after another that didn't feel right and that was thoroughly explained. Appreciate it.
