Win M12 Manufacture Date?

I just inherited a M12, 12 g, 28" Mod, with at least 1 to 2 % of the finish remaining. The SN is 4017XX. Can anyone date this for me. It's just your basic drag through the woods hunting model, but curiosity has gotten the better of me. I guess I'll scrape the dead whatevers off it and throw it out on one of the auction sites. I think you need to shoot it before you sell it because once you shoot it you won't want to sell it. Everybody needs at least one Model 12!

Slush fund for Ljutic
