Winchester 1890 Mfg Date?

My dad gave me my first family heirloom, a Winchester 1890 rifle in 22 Short. The gun was bought by my great grandpa, but nobody knows how old the gun is. The serial number is 3792XX. Can anyone tell me when this gun was made?

1909 should be fairly close, but there is some room for interpretation on old Winchesters. A letter from Cody could probably tell you exactly.

If you are handy, you can pull the mag tube and find the 2-digit manufacturing date stamped on the bottom of the barrel right next to the receiver.

I don't know if I want to try to pull the tube. I was just looking for a general idea.
