Winchester 30-30- Ranger

Hey there, just purchased a Winchester Ranger 30-30 serial 5293310 from what I can tell it was made in 1983. The images of this rifle on line show the ammo feed tube the same length as barrel. My rifle the ammo tube is about 2 inches shorter than the barrel. Any info on this model please let me know.

I don't know the details but it was just a different version they made for a while.

That's odd, I've never seen that configuration before. Very interesting.

wow, i have never seen one like that either. i know the Ranger usually had birch stocks rather than walnut at that was the only difference.

For some odd reason we ended up having three of those in the gunshop I used to working at one time. They looked pretty cool and sold quickly. I haven't seen once since. Kind of a cool variation.

thanks RC for the photo, Thats just like mine except the woodstock is darker maybe black walnut.
