Winchester .38 Ammo Question

I noticed my lastest box of USA .38 (standard pressure) FMJ rounds from Wal-Mart (130gn) have flat tops.

I recall my previous ammo under the same label had a rounded head.

Even the Winchester site http://tinyurl.com/23kvyv shows the .38 USA FMJ round with a rounded head, not flat.

Any ideas?

I haven't bought Win USA ammo lately but have bought Remington UMC 130 gr FMJ ammo and I think it had a flattened head too. I seem to remember their FMJ being round in the past.

Both companies probably got the bullets from the same supplier.

They make nice target rounds, very trim and neat holes

remington UMC has flat top.. maybe they're doing so to make the bullets safe for tube-magazine leverguns
