Fellow members I have recently purchased a winchester model 94 chambered in 38-55 calibre the serial number is 57787, in short I paid about 50% more for the rifle then its worth because the rear sight is not the original, is there a way to restore the value by replacing the wrong sight with a correct one? and if so where can I obtain it?
Also can someone explain to me how value is set for a rifle that is over 100 years old, is there any lee-way given for condition based on age?
Lastly is there a method to remove rust without ruining original finish?
Thanks all for your time and advice.
