I can't get the barreled action out of the stock. Feels like its caught on something. Will rock slightly,but not come out. Any experience?

someone might have done a bedding job on it. Makes it very hard to remove stock sometimes. try to lightly tap the action with a rubber mallet while someone pulls the action out of the stock.

Alright, may sound stupid, but are you sure you've got all the action screws and all out?

If so, I'll second that rubber mallet.

I bought it new. And it feels loose enough I am sure all the screws are out. It does feel like separating a glass job,but again I am the original owner.

It's probably that the stock is just too tight.

Got it! Just had to get the nerve up to hit a little harder. Sure enough. factory glass bedding. The trigger looks to be normal M 70 adjustments so maybe I can do something about that 100 lb trigger pull.
