Got a 1971 model 94. 44 Mag. Seems to be a timing issue as I close the bolt, with rounds in the magazine. fire: .

The little lip that is to hold the rounds in the mag releases one underneath the elevator do-dad. Need to dismantle trigger group to free it up.

It would seem that if the lip was longer, it would hold the rounds in the mag a bit longer, allowing the elevator plate to drop all the way down before a new round was released:

I used a punch to try and force the soft lip to be a bit longer. Might work for a while. It was not worn at all. What is a better fix?

94 win jams

The couple of these 44MAG 94 wins I have been into.

The raised portion on the front of the floor plate should hold the next shell until the action is closed, or at least until the lever is in a position to cam the shell a little bit forward so the lifter/elevator can clear it.

The problem I have seen is there is to much clearence between the lever itself and the raised backing on the loading gate allowing cartridge to travel to far back into the frame jamming the rifle
