I have my Dad's M50 serial number 7544 (serial numbers started at 1000). I remember reading that early M50's would fire with the barrel removed, through the chamber extension. This was caught by the ATF and Winchester made appropiate changes to prevent this being done. Is my M50 one of these early guns that had the problem ?
