Found these at walmart, they appear to be 0.161 X 0.161

#11 $7.37 for 100 in a tin

It just helps that i have more options to find supplies thats what i like.

Ive dry fired one and it fit and fired fine.
 
Wow, over 7 bucks? I like Winchester caps well enough, the magnums. Last caps I bought were 6 bucks a tin and I felt like I was getting raped.

Or walmarts around here don't have anything that resembles black powder supplies. I have to go to a gun shop for that, or to Katy to the Bass Pro.
 
They look identical no little C stamped on the bottom, same red primer stuff and the tin even looks identical.

I buy these when our w-mart puts out all the hunting supplies. Last year they were $6 and change, now, , $7 but if your lucky enough to get them at a w-mart or some other store, then you better stock up on them if you need them because you'll pay a hazmat fee if you have to order them.
 
The #11 CCi caps, and the#11 Winchester magnum BP caps look the same but the top of the Winchester caps are smooth with no imperfection, and the CCI caps have a mark from being pressed or however they make them. They both work great in my guns.
 
I bought a couple tins, haven't had much success with them on any of my pistols. They keep falling off.

They work fine on my rifles though.

That's been the rumor for some time but I have no idea if it's based on more than everything looking very similar.
 
The Winchester magnum caps are smooth on the end, and the CCI have like a dimple from the machinery that punches them out on the striking end of the caps. Now I bought these late in the hunting season last year, and that's the first time I saw the Win. magnum caps.Did I say that the other day? ooops :eek:

I bought some of these online. I believe they are a very slightly different color tint though, because i thought that they were CCI at first. Put them side by side...?

PS A friend just picked up a couple of tins of 100 CCI #10's at Cabela's and they are charging $9 each now!! My last ones were $4.99! Gouging, i say. He bought me two. If i had been there, i would have left them there!
 
I have two tins of them i just bought at walmart. They seem like the metal is harder to pinch closed more than other caps. I havnt shot any of them yet but hopefully they wont desintagrate as bad as some others do. I say if you dont have a stockpile already you better get while the gettings good. I dont see them getting any cheaper or any easier to find any time soon.As soon as im able i am going to order at least 1000 of them.
 
Ill use what ever i can get but if i had my choice i prefer the remington 10s so far the best.

They seem to fit all my guns the best without falling off or having to alter them.

I might try the CCI 10s next see how they work a place near me has some 10s for $4.99
 
I was just all over Winchesters website and the only caps they make are 209. No mention about no. 11 magnum caps. CCI makes them.
