Winchester Mod. 12 Hevi-Shot

I have a vintage Winchester Model 12 with FULL choke. I know that it is not wise to shoot steel shot in this older barrel with tight choke.
Question: Will I damage the old girl with Hevi-Shot?? I.E. Is it as soft as lead??

Most Hevi-Shot is harder than steel. I wouldn't use anything but Hevi-Shot Classic Doubles, Kent Tungsten Matrix, Nice Shot, or Bismuth.

I do shoot hevi-shot in my Mod choked Model 12 and have had no issues whatsoever! But I would tend to agree with Virginian on one with a full choke. I have an old Stevens 520 that is choked full and it likes Kent tungsten matrix just fine. It's about the same in price as hevi-shot and I think its superior to the classic doubles line that seem somewhat enemic to me!
